Our new mom is 15-year-old Abby out of Donner Bube and is a granddaughter of the famous Donnerhall dressage stallion. Abby has movement just like the Donnerhall line, which makes her a great mare for hunters or dressage horses. She had her first foal with us, and his personality is larger than life. Abby had a great jumping career making it to the 1.20m at an early stage in her life. She had no injury to end her career - she just likes being a mom. She is finer boned, which makes her a great match to lighter stallions, ideal for a sport that is getting faster.
Papaya is a 13-year-old bay mare (2009) that joined Windy Hill Farm 3 years ago and since has had 3 beautiful foals. She had a very good jumping career, making it to the 1.30m before an injury took her to her new job. She is a lovely mare bringing size and agility to her foals who inherit just the right amount of blood for an ever-evolving sport. She is very loving mother with a personality that optimally lends itself for the jumpers, calm but alert. Sired by Portland (Pilot) who had a very successful 1.60m international career, his foals have been highly successful with many achieving their own 1.60m careers. The Dam sire is Vaultair (Voltair) who also had a very successful 1.60m career.
Hope, a 19-year-old mare brings wisdom to all her foals. She is the calmest of all our brood mares and passes this on to her foals. Hope had a good start to her jumping career making it to the 1.20m, but like most brood mares an injury took her to her new life. Hope had one foal prior to joining our team and two more since arriving at our farm. Like their mother, they are very calm and loving. She is a large mare and so are her foals with heavier bone structure but still very athletic. Hope’s sire is Jamestown, who had a very good career at the 1.50m, and his sire Quidam de Revel is recognized as one of the top stallions in the world. Hope’s dam sire Class Action also had a fantastic international 1.50m career.
Bella is an 11-year-old beautiful chestnut mare with a very caring personality. She jumped the 1.30m as a young horse and was very talented. Bella looks and jumps just like her famous father Escudo who had an extremely successful 1.60m career spanning the globe. Bella’s dam sire goes back to Gothard, who was one of the founding stallions in Germany. With her very athletic build and calm demeaner, we expect her first foal in 2023 to be very talented and have her kind nature. Running a holiday sale or weekly special?
